05-22-09: Liam's partner and producer, Alain Nkossi Konda, will be performing tonight with his band at Zinc Bar (www.zincbar.com). Sets are at 10:00pm, 11:30pm and 1:00pm. A second performance is scheduled for June 12 same times same place.

03-28-08: These two songs by Liam Macdonald win awards in the Great American Song Contest 2007: "You Can Never Tell" is Top Finalist in the Country Music Category and "Out of Nowhere" is Top Finalist in the Instrumental Music Category.
02-05-08: The following two songs by Liam Macdonald win Honorable Mention in the 14th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest: "Smiling Faces" and "In an Open Space."
09-19-07: Liam's song "Black & You" is included on a new Afrikool CD titled "Uncharted Waters Vol. 1," which will be promoted at POPKOMM 2007 in Berlin and MIDEM 2008 in Cannes. If you are attending either or both of these events please stop by the Afrikool Records exhibit to say "Hi!"
07-09-07 Liam's song "Black & You" receives Honorable Mention in the Unisong International Songwriting Competition.
04-18-07: A new benefit CD titled "For Africa Vol. 1" will be released throughout Asia in the summer of 2007. Liam Macdonald's award winning song "Black & You" will be on it. The featured Artists will include: Liam Macdonald, Gilberto Gil, Lou Bega, Kanda Bongo Man, Selasee Atiase, K.I.T, Zifa, Muna Mingole, Manu Di Bango, Micko Leao, Alain Nkossi Konda, Jim Savitt, Bless, Afrikool Allstars.
01-22-07: Afrikool Records and The Diaspora for Africa Fundraising Project will be at MIDEM, the world's largest music conference in Cannes, France today through Thursday from 1:00pm on at the Cafesonique booth.
11-17-06: Artists from The Diaspora for Africa Fundraising Project will be performing at Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen, starting at 7:30pm.
10-28-06: Afrikool Records and The Diaspora for Africa Fundraising Project will be making a presentation today at the 2006 World Music Expo in Seville, Spain. We'll be at the Fibes in the Mezquita room from 2 - 3:30pm.

06-20-06: The pre-launch of "The Diaspora For Africa Vol 1" CD + booklet begins today at the Bredgade Kunsthandel in Copenhagen with the auction of a 1M50 by 1M50 painting of Africa donated by the artist, Jacob Herskind.
